In the Cloud Forest you will experience the thrill of spotting and being spotted by mysterious creatures that inhabit these high-grounded habitats of South America.  The sight of curious squirrel monkeys and the sounds of the howler monkeys’ loud calls will guide you to an outdoor hummingbird aviary. Colorful flowers not only are part of beautiful scenery, but also a food source for hummingbirds found in this roomy and gorgeous exhibit.  Helpful hints for anyone wishing to create a hummingbird habitat are available on this site. 

The walk-through aviary will lead you to one of the highlights of the Cloud Forest - the reptile and amphibian building, home of deadly vipers and very unusual amphibians. 

As you exit the home of these fascinating cold-blooded creatures of the tropics, you will have a captivating experience observing a very mysterious and secretive animal – the jaguar, the largest feline in the Americas.  The Amazon & Beyond jaguar habitat allows this cat to climb a log right over your head and into an adjoining section of the exhibit.
