Drop off and Extended Care:

Morning drop-off: 8:30- 8:50 A.M. Camp starts promptly @ 9:00 A.M.!

Pick up: 4:00 - 4:30 P.M.

Extended care: 4:30 – 5:30 P.M. Cost: $40 for the week per child.
Registration:

Pre-registration is required and space is limited.
- $5 discount per child for each additional week or $5 discount per
sibling, only one discount per family. -
Registration is processed on a first come, first served basis, and are due by Noon on the Wednesday preceding the week to be attended. A $10 late fee per child will be assessed after that. Registration will close earlier if that week of camp is full.

Groups are arranged by age, at camp staff discretion.

Completed Registration and Medical Information forms must be submitted with payment by fax, mail or email. Make checks payable to Zoological Society of FL (or ZSF).

A confirmation letter will be sent by email or fax when processing is completed. Please allow a minimum of 2-3 business days for processing.
Requests:

Refunds may be requested until 3:00 P.M. on the Friday preceding the week to be attended, and are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for processing a check refund which will be mailed to the address on file.

After Friday (see above), no refunds or date changes will be issued for the following week.

There are no refunds or credits for missed camp days.

A $5 fee is applied for each date change.

Themed interactive presentations with animal skulls and other bone replicas

Visits to animal exhibits and visiting with zookeepers

AGES 4-6 (Kindergarten-1st Grade)
ANIMALS NIGHT AND DAY
June 17-21; July 8-12; July 29-Aug 2
Are animals more active during the day or at night? The answer depends on the animals: a lot of birds are busy in the daytime looking for food, and big cats, on the other hand, tend to go on hunting trips when the sun goes down. You’ll have a terrific time finding out about animals’ adventurous lives at different times of the day.
SPLENDID ANIMAL WONDERS
June 24–28; July 15-19; August 5-9
What do zebras, rhinos, and giraffes have in common? You’ll compare and contrast some of these remarkable hoofed animals and find out how similar qualities help in their survival. In addition, you will enjoy observing fascinating behaviors and exploring lots of fun facts about this popular group of animals.
ANIMAL SPOTLIGHT
July 1-5 (no camp on Thursday, July 4th); July 22-26
What do you know about the amazing creatures living right in our backyards? We will put the spotlight on some Florida animals and their remarkable adaptations, and you will see how these creatures match up to exotic animals at the Zoo. Your backyard will never look the same again!
AGES 7–10 (2nd–5th Grade)
HORNS, HOOVES AND HABITATS
June 17-21; July 8-12; July 29-Aug 2
Africa is home to thousands of animals that have hooves or horns, such as antelopes, camels, and giraffes. You’ll explore fascinating facts often unknown about these unique creatures and their habitats, and even learn which animal may have inspired the Unicorn myth!
FLORIDA’S FABULOUS WILDLIFE
June 24–28; July 15-19; August 5-9 (Ages 7-8 only)
We’re surrounded by remarkable local creatures. Can you name some of them? Which large cat can be found in Florida? What about reptiles and birds? Big or small, plant-eater or meat-eater, you will discover how these amazing natives compare to the Zoo’s exotic beasts.
DAYTIME AND NIGHTTIME ANIMALS
July 1-5 (no camp on Thursday, July 4th); July 22-26
When stars appear in the sky, animals such as chimpanzees and camels look for a safe spot to rest. Others, such as jaguars and bats, get ready for after dark adventures. You will have a dazzling time exploring amazing fun facts about day and night creatures.
AGES 11–13 (6th–8th Grade)
TUNNELS, NETS AND NESTS
July 15-19
You will be astonished by how animals can be such extraordinary builders! In order to keep their young safe or be able to catch a meal, some species work hard digging lengthy underground shelters, while others make elaborate mounds, nets, and nests. You’ll have a colossal time discovering how ingenious you can be at creating a wild habitat.
HOME WILD HOME
July 22-26
From sloths in the South American rain forest to cheetahs in the African savannah, animals make their homes in a range of wild places. Explore a variety of unique habitats on Earth and their very distinctive characteristics as you visit some fascinating Zoo animals.
PREDATOR OR PREY?
July 29-Aug 2
Animals have developed a variety of special traits that allow them to find food, escape predators, and raise their young, despite challenges encountered in their wild habitats. Nurture your appreciation for wildlife as you identify some incredible survival adaptations in the animal kingdom.
