Zoo Miami contributed funds to the San Diego Zoo’s Institute for Conservation and Research toward field work in Australia studying the Koala’s behavior, diets and genetics.  This information will provide needed information to support efforts to conserve this species in its declining habitat.  Zoo Miami has been a frequent contributor for more than 20 years to this effort.
