Class sizes are limited and pre-registration is required for all programs. To reserve your space in the program, download the registration form and mail or fax completed form with payment to:

Your child will have a blast in this program designed for young children and their parents. Each session will bring you and your child closer to nature through animal encounters, storytelling, and other fun and exciting activities.

Animal features and behaviors and the way we relate to them have a large impact on the different environments where we live. Join us to find out how some amazing creatures relate to each other and their surroundings, and why animals and their habitats matter so much to all of us. 

Come experience being a horse trainer and keeper. Learn what it takes to be a horse trainer and keeper in this two hour program.

 

Would you like to help create a one-of-a kind painting done by one of the animals from Zoo Miami’s Children Zoo?

Bring your scout or school group, or simply a group of your friends for an unforgettable adventure as you spend the night at the Zoo! In this popular sleepover program, you’ll have a personalized behind-the-scenes walking tour of selected Zoo exhibits, sleep in an air-conditioned building, and enjoy a special morning activity.

Zoo Inns include a light breakfast and a souvenir. Program varies according to animal availability and participants need to bring their sleeping bags and gear. Advance reservation is required.

Experience a “walk on the wild side” as you explore the Zoo at night on a behind-the-scenes tour!  Guided by a knowledgeable Zookeeper, you will visit selected animal exhibits and experience the sounds, scents, and interesting behaviors of the Zoo’s great beasts.

Ready for an unforgettable adventure? Bring your scout group, tents and camping gear to a remarkable experience after dark at the Zoo as they immerse their senses into the peculiar night sights, scents and sounds.  They will enjoy a terrific camping experience taking a behind-the-scenes tour to selected animal exhibits, enjoying s’mores, and waking up for a special animal encounter in the morning!

Program varies according to animal availability. Group size: 40-58 people.

Bring your family and experience the 10th Annual Big Cat-Nap Campout!  Pitch your tent in one of our own “grasslands” for a real camping experience. It’s happening on Saturday, February 9th, so pack up your camping gear and head on over to experience a night of wilderness, complete with sound effects (provided by Zoo animals)! 

Children must be at least 6 years old.  Next day admission to the Zoo is included. Pre-registration is required.
