Behind-the-Scenes Keeper Tours
A zookeeper will take you face-to-face with exotic animals in off-exhibit areas. During a one and one-half hour visit, you will have personal encounters with wildlife that you won't soon forget. Zookeepers reveal fascinating animal facts and answer your questions. There are several tour itineraries to choose from: birds, mammals or general.

Guided Walking Tour
Schedule a walking tour to selected areas of the Zoo led by our trained experienced guides. Tours vary in length and can complement a classroom program (not required). Please make reservations at least 30 days in advance by contacting the ZSF Education Department at 305.255.5551.

Zoogeographic Walking Tours
Schedule a walking tour to one of the zoo’s geographic areas, Asia, Africa or Amazon and Beyond. Each tour is led by a knowledgeable guide and includes information on animal characteristics and conservation.

Pineland Walking Tour
Walk through the fascinating native landscape and learn about the rare pine rockland habitat, its geology, fire dependency, and historic plants. Comfortable, sturdy shoes are recommended for walking on rocky terrain. About 20-30 minutes.
